Bearded Dragons

Pets, pets, everywhere

The AdvancedPrimitive household is overrun by pets – two cats, two guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon.  The most unusual of these, of course, is the bearded dragon, a one-year-old male that has grown to be pretty big. He came into our house at about a six-week age as a tiny little guy, 5-6 inches in length, but has grown to almost two feet, counting the tail.

Care and diet

There is a great website out there on bearded dragon care and feeding: http://www.thebeardeddragon.org/    The following is a list of vegetables recommended by that website:

Please check out their feeding page to get more information on care and feeding of your bearded dragon!  They have lots of valuable info.

Here is a video of our dragon eating worms in super slow motion (thanks iPhone!)

Although our dragon is very calm and friendly, some of them out there aren’t nearly so!

There are lots of videos out there of dragons, there is even an UNBOXING video!

And – what could be more fun than a chihuahua vs beaded dragon video? )))

OK – now I think I’ve seen everything: bearded dragon attacking toy dinosaur!
